Official DNA study has verified Yevgeny Prigozhin’s passing after a plane crash on Wednesday, according to the Russian Investigative Committee on Sunday. Prigozhin was the leader of the Wagner paramilitary group.
“According to their results, the identities of all 10 victims were established, they correspond to the list stated in the flight list,” the committee said.
Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner mercenary gang, was declared to have perished in a plane crash by Russia’s investigation committee.
The committee announced on Sunday that all 10 bodies found at the scene had been identified and that their identities “conform to the manifest” following forensic examination.
Last week, the Russian civil aviation authorities said that Prigozhin and a few of his top lieutenants were listed as passengers on the Wednesday crash-plane.
