The New Zealand cricket squad will compete in three one-day internationals in September before the World Cup in close-by India, the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Thursday.
The Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka will host all three of New Zealand’s ODI games on September 21, 23, and 26, the BCB announced in a statement.
Before the World Cup kicks off in India on October 5th, this series will be the final one for both sides.
After the World Cup concludes on November 19th, New Zealand will also play two Test matches in Bangladesh.
The New Zealand Test team will arrive in Bangladesh on November 21, according to the BCB.
Beginning on November 28 for the first Test and December 6 for the second. The Tests’ locations have not yet been selected.
These will be the first ODI and Test series in Bangladesh for New Zealand since that year.
Bangladesh has previously defeated New Zealand at home in two ODI series, 4-0 in 2010 and 3-0 in 2013.
The Test matches, Bangladesh’s first in the new cycle of the championship, are a part of the World Test Championship 2023–25.
In December, Bangladesh will visit New Zealand and play three one-day and three Twenty20 internationals there as payback.
