Due to worries regarding Taskin Ahmed’s intense workload, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has not yet decided whether to award him a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to play in the Lankan Premier League (LPL).
Right-handed pacer Taskin Ahmed has emerged as a crucial bowler for the Bangladesh team in recent years. However, injuries have severely hampered his performance during his career and have done so on numerous occasions.
However, he has been playing for the past couple of years generally without experiencing any significant injury problems.
Nizamuddin Chowdhury, the CEO of BCB, addressed the media, stating, “Considering the workload of the players, we have yet to make a decision on issuing an NOC for Taskin.”
He added, “The final call will be made based on the board’s policy.”
Taskin has been given permission to represent a team in the LPL, which is slated to take place later this month.
Towhid Hridoy will shortly acquire a NOC to play in the league while Taskin’s NOC for the LPL is still waiting. The skilled right-handed batter, who has shown off his batting prowess in the national team, will be playing in his first foreign league game.
Taskin is currently playing in the Zim Afro T10 in Zimbabwe, which features teams from both South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Mushfiqur Rahim plays in the Zim Afro T10 league alongside Taskin.
