One killed in overnight Russian attack on Odesa: governor

Russian forces attacked Odesa, a port city in southern Ukraine, early on Sunday, leaving at least one person dead and 15 others injured.

Oleg Kiper posted on Telegram that “unfortunately, we have one civilian killed as a result of the nighttime terrorist attack by Russians on Odesa.”

According to Suspline, the national public broadcaster of Ukraine, the Russian army shelled Chasiv Yar, a city in the Donetsk area immediately west of the heavily-battered Bakhmut, with cluster munitions early on Sunday morning.

According to Pavlo Kyrylenko, the governor of the Donetsk region, a fire caused by the shelling destroyed the Palace of Culture, which served as the city’s humanitarian headquarters and a location for dispensing medical supplies, according to Suspline.
