Narayana Health’s Uro-Oncology Expert Shares Knowledge on Robotics in Prostate Cancer with 100+ Doctors in Bangladesh

Oncology Present & Future Bangladesh and Narayana Health (NH), one of India’s top healthcare organizations, successfully organized a conference on the “Use of Robotics in Prostate Cancer” in Dhaka on Saturday, July 8. With more than 100 medical professionals in attendance, the event gave participants a chance to learn about the most recent advancements in the sector and apply their knowledge to help patients in Bangladesh.

The keynote address was given by Dr. Anand Biyani, Senior Uro-Oncologist at Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah (A Unit of Narayana Health), who also presented reference case studies to highlight the significant role robotic surgery can play in the treatment of prostate cancer, even at its most advanced stages.

Addressing the doctors and delegates, Dr. Anand Biyani from Narayana Health said, “A large number of patients from Bangladesh regularly come to our hospital units, present across all major locations in India, for treatment of a variety of conditions including prostate cancer. We aim to empower local doctors so that they can not only better diagnose and handle prostate cancer cases within the country but also refer them to us in a timely manner for effective management.”

The event is expected to have a significant and wide-ranging impact on Bangladesh. It will not only give local doctors more influence, improving the quality of healthcare in the nation, but it will also provide them the ability to recommend patients to cutting-edge facilities earlier, improving clinical outcomes.

Dr. Biyani presented a video depicting a recent example of a prostate cancer patient who underwent robotic surgery under his supervision in order to highlight the knowledge of Narayana Health (NH) and give local doctors access to advanced robotic methods. The presentation gave a thorough breakdown of the entire process and the outcomes following recovery.
