The singer-actress Selena Gomez has finally spoken out about her supposed beef with Hailey Bieber.
Gomez shared a statement on her Instagram Story on Friday after becoming aware of the harsh criticism Hailey has been facing.
“Hailey Bieber contacted me and informed me that she has been the target of hateful threats, including murder threats. I don’t stand for this,” Gomez said.
“No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want all of this to stop,” she urged her fans and followers.
In an effort to encourage Hailey, Gomez also began to follow her on Instagram.
Although this is the first time Gomez has specifically referred to Hailey by name, she has previously tried to convince fans to cease focusing on Hailey.
On 6 March, Selena thanked fans for their support on her TikTok and added, “Please, please be kinder and consider others mental health. My heart has been heavy, and I only want good for everyone. All my love.”
Reportedly, the feud between Hailey and Gomez started when the Rhode Skin founder appeared to bully the “Heart Wants What It Wants” singer online.
I’m not saying she deserved it, but God’s timing is always perfect, Hailey, Kendall Jenner, and Justine Skye mouthed in a video that she posted a few months ago before removing.
Users of TikTok speculated that Hailey was making a reference to Gomez, who at the moment had just reacted to being called fat.
The feud between the two celebs began in 2018, when Hailey Bieber proposed to Justin Bieber only a few months after he finalized his eight-year on-and-off relationship with Selena Gomez.
