Japanese major supply chain body Kintetsu World Express starts operation in Bangladesh

A significant Japanese freight forwarding and supply chain business, Kintetsu World Express, has started operating in Bangladesh in order to actively take part in the nation’s industry initiatives.

“The KWE Group is committed to providing flexible services and expanding its network throughout Southeast Asia, including Bangladesh,” a press release said here.

High-ranking members of the organization revealed the launch of KWE in Bangladesh at a Tuesday evening event held at a city hotel in the presence of the Japanese ambassador to Bangladesh, Iwama Kiminori.

According to the press release, it offers services for air and marine freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and warehouse inventory management. It is a subsidiary of the Japanese railway holding firm Kintetsu Group Holdings.

The group has a global presence in more than 45 nations, 304 cities, and 685 locations, and employs more than 18000 people. Its annual revenue exceeds $7 billion USD.

According to the release, KWE and its group businesses rank among the top 15 global companies in the sea and air transportation sectors and are very strong in the retail, automotive, healthcare, and high-tech verticals.
