Palestinian officials reported that the Israeli army killed two Palestinians in a West Bank raid on Monday while destroying the homes of two Palestinians suspected of killing an Israeli soldier.
During an Israeli army raid in Jenin, two Palestinians were killed: Muhammad Samer Hoshieh, 22, who was shot in the chest, and Fuad Mohammad Abed, 25, who was wounded in the abdomen and thigh.
In order to destroy the homes of the shooters who took part in the shooting near the Gilboa (Jalame) Crossing, in which Major Bar Falah was murdered, Israeli soldiers had stormed the town of Kafr Dan, according to the Israeli military.
Just after daylight on Monday, two houses were explosively demolished, filling the small community with clouds of smoke.
The army later said “a violent riot was instigated” when troops entered the village.
“Rioters burned tyres, shot live fire and hurled rocks, Molotov cocktails and explosive devices at the forces, who responded with riot dispersal means and live fire,” the statement said. “Hits were identified,” it added.
