A sister concern of PRAN Group called PRAN Dairy Limited was given the top taxpayer honor for FY22.
The PRAN Dairy received recognition from the National Board of Revenue (NBR) in the food and related sector.
At a ceremony conducted today at the Officers’ Club in the capital, Choudhury Atiur Rasul, director (accounts) of PRAN-RFL Group, received the award from NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem.
According to a news release, the event’s primary guest was Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, and distinguished guests included Senior Secretary of the Finance Division Fatima Yasmin.
Choudhury Atiur Rasul said, “Each and every entity of PRAN-RFL group is playing an important role in the development of the country through paying VAT and tax regularly. We’re getting recognition from the government every year for paying VAT and tax that inspire us.”
This time, the NBR recognized 141 outstanding taxpayers. The recipients of the prize for paying the most taxes during the fiscal year 2021–2022 included 76 individuals, 53 businesses, and 12 recipients in other categories.
