Following his outburst against Tottenham, Cristiano Ronaldo has been left off Manchester United’s roster for Saturday’s match against Chelsea.
On Wednesday, with a few minutes left in United’s 2-0 victory against Tottenham, Ronaldo charged down the Old Trafford tunnel.
The United manager Erik ten Hag reportedly received a message from the 37-year-old star stating that he did not want to be a late substitute.
“Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of the Manchester United squad for this Saturday’s Premier League game against Chelsea. The rest of the squad is fully focused on preparing for that fixture,” a United statement said on Thursday.
