Today, the nation will commemorate Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina’s 76th birthday.
Sheikh Hasina was born on September 28, 1947, in Tungipara, Gopalganj, the eldest of the five children of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is currently in the United States after traveling there to attend the 77th UN General Assembly (UNGA).
She gave a speech at the UNGA in Bangla, as she had done in previous years, continuing in the footsteps of Bangabandhu.
Like in previous years, Sheikh Hasina, who is leading the country toward prosperity in the wake of her father, will be honored through a variety of programs by the Awami League (AL) and its affiliated and like-minded organisations.
Discussions, milad and doa mahfils, and special prayers will be held on this occasion in the nation’s capital and throughout the rest of the nation.
