Rapper Kodak Black, also known as Bill Kahan Kapri, was detained on Friday on suspicion of trafficking oxycodone and in possession of a prohibited narcotic.
According to sources, Kodak was incarcerated on Friday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he is currently awaiting a bond hearing.
According to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol, officers stopped Black’s purple SUV because it looked that the window tint was darker than allowed.
When they searched the SUV after smelling marijuana, they discovered a little clear bag containing 31 white tablets and over USD 75,000 in cash. Later, it was discovered that the tablets were oxycodone.
There are always more facts and circumstances that give rise to a defense, especially in this case, Black’s attorney Bradford Cohen wrote on Twitter.
