Novoair to resume Kolkata flight from March 27

Novoair, a private airline in the country, has decided to begin service to Kolkata on March 27.

This decision was made after the Indian Civil Aviation Authority granted authorization to fly scheduled commercial flights beginning March 27.

The airplane will fly to the nearby capital city of India’s West Bengal state on a daily basis, according to a Novoair news release.

The daily flights will leave Dhaka at 5:20 p.m. local time and Kolkata at 6:40 p.m. local time, according to the statement.

Commercial flights to and from Kolkata were already banned as of March 25, 2020, due to a decision from the Indian Civil Aviation Authority to combat coronavirus illness.

During this time, however, special flights between two countries were operated under the ‘Air bubble agreement.’

Novoair currently flies from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar, Chattogram, Saidpur, Jashore, Sylhet, Barishal, and Rajshahi on a regular basis.
