At the upcoming White House correspondents dinner, Trevor Noah will perform

When the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner returns on April 30, Trevor Noah, the anchor of ‘The Daily Show,’ will be the entertainer.

According to Deadline, the event will return after a two-year hiatus, with the dinners in 2020 and 2021 being cancelled owing to COVID. President Joe Biden of the United States is expected to attend, as was customary until President Donald Trump ignored the dinner during his four years in office.

According to the WHCA, this year’s dinner “will be the WHCA’s first since 2019 and offer the first opportunity for the press and the president to enjoy a few laughs for a good cause since 2016.”

Noah is currently in the middle of a comedy tour called ‘Back to Abnormal,’ and will host the Grammy Awards this year.

“Trevor is an incredible talent who keeps us laughing, and thinking, four nights a week,” Steve Portnoy, the president of the WHCA, said in a statement. He added, “We can’t wait for him to help bring our 100-year Washington tradition ‘Back to Abnormal.’”

Despite the fact that the dinner drew Washington’s media and political insiders even without Trump, Hollywood stars, who were a regular when President Barack Obama attended, mostly stayed absent.

Given Biden’s support from the entertainment sector in 2020 and Noah’s engagement, this year could see more showbiz celebrities.
