Due to Covid-19, the Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2022 will begin on Tuesday, rather than the regular 1st February inauguration day.
The book expo will take place at the Bangla Academy and the nearby Suhrawardi Udyan in the capital. The fair will run till the 28th of February this year.
However, if the Covid-19 situation improves, the term would be extended, according to state minister for cultural affairs KM Khalid.
The Bangla Academy unveiled the fair’s details at a press conference on Monday at the AKSB auditorium, where the state minister and academy officials shared the fair’s thorough planning with the media.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will virtually inaugurate the exhibition on Tuesday from Ganobhaban, as she did last year.
