For their upcoming trip of Bangladesh, Afghanistan cut four players from their Twenty20 side, which won only two of their five matches at last year’s World Cup.
The four players that were left out of the T20 team were maverick opener Mohammad Shahzad, pacers Gulbadin Naib and Hamid Hassan, and batsman Hashmatullah Shahidi.
In addition, they moved the one-day team for a three-day series in Bangladesh.
After being part of the ODI team that beat the Netherlands 3-0 in Doha last month, Sharafuddin Ashraf and Usman Ghani are left out, but Ibrahim Zadran is called up.
Pacer Naveen-ul-Haq is unable to participate in the entire tour.
The three One-Day Internationals will be held on February 23, 25, and 28 in Chattogram, while the T20Is will be held on March 3 and 5 in Dhaka.
