In the seven months of the current financial year, the revenue from the export of goods has reached 3 trillion dollars. Of this, 81 percent came from the readymade garments sector.
Oven and Knit are the two sub-sectors of the readymade garment industry which are the main source of export earnings of the country. Earlier, the more foreign exchange came from the export of oven garments than the net. The contribution of these two sub-sectors in the export trade has been close for several years. But since Corona started, the net has risen to the top, leaving the oven behind.
