Hani Singh accused of singing obscene songs

A man had recently lodged a complaint against singer Hani Singh at the Panchpaoli police station in Nagpur, Maharashtra, for singing and uploading an obscene song. A case was filed against that allegation.

A few days ago, the court had directed to appear in the local police station in that case. This time, a district court in Nagpur directed to submit a sample of his voice to the court.

On January 26, District and Additional Sessions Judge SASM Ali directed the singer to appear at the Panchpaoli police station in Nagpur between February 4 and 11, according to Indian media GenNews.

Hani Singh was supposed to go abroad. Therefore, he had earlier applied for relaxation of the conditions imposed on him.

The court accepted the application. According to the application, the singer is scheduled to stay in Dubai from January 29 to February 4. So the court asked him to report to the police station between 4 and 11 February. On the other hand, the investigating officer opposed Hani’s application at that time.

The investigating officer said that the singer was supposed to appear at the police station on January 25, but he did not show up and Hani stated in an email that he would not be able to appear at the police station. The investigating officer claimed that the singer was not cooperating in the investigation and would not be able to appear in court if he was allowed to travel.
