Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated today that a large statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, an iconic leader of India’s freedom struggle, will be erected near India Gate “as a mark of India’s indebtedness to him.”
Modi made the statement on January 23, the 125th anniversary of Netaji’s birth.
Modi stated in a series of tweets that on Netaji’s birth anniversary, January 23, 2022, he will unveil a hologram statue of the great leader at the same location until the grand statue of the great leader is constructed.
“At a time when the entire nation is marking the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, I am glad to share that his grand statue, made of granite, will be installed at India Gate,” the premier tweeted.
