India’s total number of COVID-19 cases increased to 3,46,24,360, according to data released on Saturday by the Union Health Ministry, although active cases decreased to 99,974.
According to numbers released at 8 a.m. on Saturday, the death toll had risen to 4,70,530, with 415 fatalities confirmed.
The daily increase in coronavirus infections has been less than 50,000 for the past 160 days.
According to the health ministry, the number of active cases has decreased to 99,974, accounting for 0.29 percent of all infections, the lowest level since March 2020, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has reached 98.35 percent.
The active COVID-19 caseload has dropped by two cases in the last 24 hours, according to the ministry.
On average, the daily positive rate was 0.69 percent. It has been less than 2% for the previous 61 days.
A 0.81 percent weekly positive rate was also discovered. It has been below 1% for the past 20 days, according to government data.
With a 1.36 percent case fatality rate, the number of people who have recovered from the illness has climbed to 3,40,53,856.
