Moderna, a US pharmaceutical company, announced on Friday that it will create a booster shot to combat the new Omicron coronavirus type.
Moderna said it is one of three tactics the business is pursuing to combat the new threat, which also includes a greater dose of its existing vaccine.
“The alterations in the Omicron variation are troubling,” said Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel. “For several days, we have been moving as quickly as possible to execute our strategy to handle this variant.”
