The results of the West Bengal Assembly elections in India were announced on Sunday (May 2). In the meantime, various speculations are going on about the results. Booth return survey of six organizations has been done. In those polls, the possibility of Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress coming to power has come up.
However, most of the surveys have indicated that there will be a tough fight. However, no one was able to get close to a two-thirds majority in the 294-seat assembly. However, both the BJP and Congress have been claiming from the outset that they will cross the 200-seat mark. As a result, there is no way but to wait till Sunday to know the exact result.
Out of 294 seats in the state, 292 seats have been voted. Voting will take place on May 16 in Samsherganj and Jangipur due to the death of two candidates due to corona infection.
According to India Today’s booth return poll, the BJP could win 134 to 164 seats. On the other hand, the grassroots can get 130 to 156 seats. The Left-Congress-led United Front could win a maximum of two seats. The BJP is slightly ahead.
By the way, history says that the results of such surveys do not always match exactly. On the contrary, in many cases, it can be reversed. The Boothfert survey is basically an attempt to get an advanced idea of the results.
