Last Monday, the list was published under the headline ‘The Asian Scientist 100’ by the Singapore-based magazine ‘Asian Scientist’.
The list includes Bangladeshi women scientists: Salma Sultana, Chairperson of the Livestock Advancement Foundation (MALF), and Dr. A.S. Ferdousi Qadri and Saima Sabrina, Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
The Bangladeshis on the list are Salma Sultana, Ferdousi Qadri and Saima Sabrina. They had previously gained international recognition in science and research.
According to the website of Asian Scientist, this is the sixth time this list has been made. Researchers and inventors have been selected to play a key role in tackling this year’s major problems, ranging from climate change to coronaviruses.
