Sri Lanka has announced the squad for the Test series against Bangladesh

Sri Lanka has announced the squad for the Test series against Bangladesh. Experienced Angelo Mathews has returned to the 18-member squad.

Mathews returned to the country midway through the ODI series against the Windies due to family problems. However, he has returned to the team for the series against Bangladesh.

Also, pacer Lahiru Kumara, who missed the last series due to a corona attack, has returned to the team. However, another fast bowler Dushmantha Chamira has withdrawn from the Test series against Bangladesh due to family problems.

Left-arm spinner Praveen Jayavikrama has been called up as a new face in the Sri Lankan squad. He has been called up to replace the injured spinner Lasith Ambuldenia on the Windies tour. The first Test of the series will start on April 21 in Pallekele.
