Voting for the third phase of assembly elections is underway in West Bengal. Voting starts at 8 am on Tuesday and will continue until 6:30 pm.
At this stage, Howrah, Hooghly and South 24 Parganas – 31 seats in these three districts are fighting. Voting is going on in about 10,900 centers. 205 candidates are contesting. More than 7 lakh voters will decide their fate.
Longline booths since morning. Security has been beefed up in three districts ahead of the polls. The final results will be announced on May 2 after eight rounds of voting.
