Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan finally completed 5000 runs in T20 Cricket despite failing to fulfill the expectation with willow yet again in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup, reports BSS.
Shakib who is playing for Gemcon Khulna needed three runs ahead of the match against Gazi Group Chattogram to touch the milestone of 5000 runs. He exactly made three runs in this match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Saturday to complete the inevitable.
The 5000 runs milestone came in his 311 T20 matches, playing for different teams around the world.
His major teams in which he played for T20 cricket was Bangladesh, Adelaide Strikers, Bangladesh A, Bangladesh Cricket Board XI, Barbados Tridents, Brampton Wolves, Dhaka Gladiators, Gemcon Khulna, Jamaica Tallawahs, Karachi Kings, Khulna Division, Kolkata Knight Riders, Peshawar Zalmi, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Worcestershire.
Shakib needed 30 runs to reach 5000 runs ahead of the Bangabandhu T20 tournament and it was expected on his comeback match after serving the ICC-imposed ban, he would complete it.
