The world’s largest corona hospital has opened in New Delhi, the capital of India. It is 1700 feet long and 700 feet wide, reports Anandabazar.
The Corona Hospital in Delhi is named ‘Sardar Patel COVID Care Center and Hospital’.
The number of beds in this hospital is 10 thousand. The hospital was built in 12 days by the country’s Defense Research and Development Organization.
The hospital was inaugurated by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Sunday, the report said. Later, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited together.
According to Anandabazar, the temporary hospital was built on Defense Ministry land near the Indira Gandhi International Airport in South Delhi. It has a 250-bed ICU. Patients can be given oxygen in 1 thousand beds.
Initially, patients with mild symptomatic COVID and asymptomatic corona will be treated at this hospital.
