Singer-composer Wajid Khan of music director duo Sajid-Wajid passed away on May 31 at a Mumbai hospital. He was only 42 years old. He was hospitalized Monday in a city hospital due to complications arising from a kidney infection.
Music director Salim Merchant said Khan was hospitalized a few days ago at Surana Hospital in Chembur suburb, where his condition deteriorated. He had multiple issues. He had a kidney issue and had a transplant a while ago. But recently he got to know about kidney infection…he was on the ventilator for the last four days, after his situation started getting worse.”
But a journalist from the Bollywood Hangama stated that Wajid Khan had died due to the Novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Sajid and Wajid are recognized with music albums of Dabangg, Wanted, Ek Tha Tiger, and many other movies. They started their career with the Salman Khan’s movie Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya. They composed the actor’s recent single, Bhai Bhai, as well.
Soon after the news of the composer’s demise broke, many from the film fraternity took to Twitter to pay tributes.
