Bangladesh Police is making all-out efforts to ensure maintaining social distancing and following ‘stay at home’ directives by the people to slow deadly novel outbreak that has already claimed nine lives in Bangladesh and over 64,000 across the globe.
“We are working round the clock to enforce the social distancing and stay at home instructions to contain the spread of Covid-19,” said a statement of Bangladesh Police.
It said other than the emergency services as required for smooth going of the daily life of the citizens, all individual and group movements have been prohibited.
“With exceptions to the emergency services, we are not allowing any people to get into Dhaka or to leave the capital until further notification from the government,” the statement said.
Bangladesh Police also sought cooperation from all citizens and all concerned for the proper implementation of the government directives and health instructions to this end.
