The Chandpur Journalist Forum in Dhaka gets new committee following its annual general meeting at a city hotel on Thursday. Dainik Jugantor’s special correspondent Mijan Malik and UNB’s Mufassal editor and Head of Bangla service Rashed Shahriar Polash were respectively made the president and general secretary of the new committee.
Md Maksudur Rahman Patwari, secretary of the ministry of land, attended to AGM as the chief guest while Md Saiful Alam, President of Jatiya Press Club, Sujit Roy Nondi, relief and social welfare secretary of Awami League, Md Sohel Rana, additional inspector general of Police, Md Mustafa Kamal Majumdar, advisory secretary of The New Nation and Md Anwar Hossain, chief executive officer of Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities, among others, were present at the program.
At the end of the program, Md Abul Khayer, an advisor of the organization, announced the new committee.
Acting editor of Jagonews Mohiuddin Sarkar was elected as senior vice-president while Special correspondent of Financial Express Azizur Rahman as vice president, special correspondent of NTV Shafik Shahin senior as joint secretary, senior reporter of Dainik Amader Shomoy Dulal Hossain as joint secretary, special correspondent of Channel I Mazharul Haque Manna as organizing secretary, Senior reporter of Jamuna TV Shahadat Hossain as finance secretary, reporter of Sunbd24 Giash Uddin as office secretary, Staff reporter of Dainik Sangbad S M Zakir Hossain as publicity and publication secretary, Staff reporter of Ekushey Television Ibne Nur Shaon as sports secretary and Senior sub-editor of Amader Arthoniti Shakhawat Hossain as public welfare secretary.
