Bangladesh has shown keen interest to export its quality products like readymade garments, pharmaceuticals, jute and jute goods, and leather items to African nation Kenya.
Dhaka is agreed to send a business delegation to Kenya for identifying products and services which can be exported to Kenya from Bangladesh, reports BSS.
These were discussed at a bilateral talk between Bangladesh and Kenya held at state guest house Meghna in the capital on Friday where Bangladesh foreign minister Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen and visiting Kenyan Foreign Minister Dr. Monica Juma led their respective sides, a press release said.
The Kenyan foreign minister is on an official visit to Bangladesh with a six-member delegation.
During the discussion, the Kenyan foreign minister commended the tremendous social progress and economic development that is taking place in Bangladesh under the pragmatic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

She called for enhancing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Kenya by intensifying and diversifying cooperation in different sectors.
Momen emphasized the potential of enhancing trade ties between Bangladesh and Kenya. He appreciated the Kenyan side for creating a favorable investment climate for the Bangladeshi entrepreneurs who have already initiated joint ventures in Kenya.
Bangladesh foreign minister also said that Dhaka is ready to extend support in the agriculture sector of Kenya.
Both the sides agreed that cooperation in education, science, and technology should be institutionalized through signing relevant agreements. Both the sides also agreed on holding foreign office consultations soon.
Momen also briefed his Kenyan counterpart about the more than one million forcibly displaced Rohingyas from Myanmar who is being sheltered by Bangladesh.
He stressed the need for the international community to put pressure on the Myanmar government to implement the agreement signed between Bangladesh and Myanmar for repatriation of the Rohingyas in safety, security, and dignity back to their homeland in Myanmar.
Dr. Juma thanked the Bangladesh government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for giving shelter to the Rohingyas who fled inhuman violence and atrocities in Myanmar.
Momen hosted a dinner at the State Guest House, the Padma in honor of the Kenyan foreign minister which was attended by high-level dignitaries from both the sides. Dr. Juma is also visiting India and Sri Lanka during her South Asian tour.
