The Bangladeshi actor, director and producer, Ananta Jalil, met Iran based Farabi Cinema Foundation director Alireza Tabesh at his office in Tehran on Monday to discuss ways to collaborate with the Iranian foundation for his next work.
Farabi Cinema Foundation, as the biggest body in Iranian Film industry, is the leading company in the fields of production, international distribution and promotion of Iranian films. Farabi also acquires foreign films for theatrical, TV and video release in Iran. The Bangladeshi film star is looking to work with the Farabi Cinema Foundation.
During the meeting with Farabi Foundation, Ananta Jalil discussed his plans to invest in a film about peace in Islam. The Tehran Times confirmed it.
“It is a great pleasure that you have focused on today’s topic of the world. The world cinema and the cinema of the region need to produce films on such topics,” Tabesh said, who is the MD of the Farabi Cinema Foundation
“We are also interested in producing a joint production between Iran and Bangladesh but the first stage is to write a screenplay which satisfies both sides,” Tabesh added.
Tabesh also noted that both countries enjoy an extensive population with great fans for cinema, and that the cinema of the two countries can meet the needs of the world and regional markets.
Jalil said that he is planning to make a film that depicts the real Islam to the world. He also stated that he plans on shooting the entire film in Iran to portray its natural beauty and people to the world.
