153 held in anti-narcotics drive at Geneva camp Bangladesh

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in an anti-narcotics drive at Mohammadpur Geneva camp detained 153 people along with various types of drugs on Saturday, reports UNB.

Off the detainees, 77 were sentenced to different jail terms while 76 were filed under regular cases through mobile court, sources at the RAB headquarters said.

During the drive, the elite force members recovered 1300 pieces of yaba tablets and 30 kg of hemp during the drive.

RAB-2 battalion along with other units, including RAB intelligence wing and dog squad, started the drive at Geneva camp around 10:30am and continued it till 12:40pm, said RAB headquarters’ legal and media wing director Mufti Mahmood Khan.
