A truck driver was killed and three others were injured in a head-on collision between two commercial trucks on the Mymensingh-Kishoreganj Highway.
The crash took place at 7am on Friday on a stretch of a highway in Ramgopalpur area, said Inspector Delowar Hossain, chief of Gouripur Police Station.
Nazrul Islam, one of the truck drivers, died on the spot. The 26-year-old man was from Ishwarganj Upazila. The three injured persons were admitted to the Ishwarganj Upazila Health Complex.
The accident occurred when a salt-laden truck coming from Mymensingh collided head-on with a cement truck speeding from the opposite direction.
