Bollywood legend and an actor par excellence, Sridevi Kapoor is no more. The actress passed away after a massive cardiac arrest in Dubai while she was attending a family wedding with husband Boney Kapoor and her younger daughter Khushi. She was just 54 old years old.
Currently, well-wishers are rushing to Sridevi’s house in Mumbai to be with her elder daughter Janhvi’s side who couldn’t be in Dubai due to her shooting schedule.
Sridevi was an Indian film actress and producer who has starred in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada films.
She was regarded as the first female “superstar” of India. Due to her pan-Indian appeal, she was considered to be one of the most popular actresses of Indian cinema. She was considered one of the very few Indian female actor capable of huge box office success without the support of a male hero.
In 2013, the Indian government awarded her the Padma Shri – the fourth highest civilian honour.
Have witnessed Sridevi's life from an adolescent teenager to the magnificeint lady she became. Her stardom was well deserved. Many happy moments with her flash through my mind including the last time I met her. Sadma's lullaby haunts me now. We'll miss her — Kamal Haasan (@ikamalhaasan) February 25, 2018
