Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan topped all-rounder rankings in the all three formats of cricket in 2017, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announces after the rankings were updated.
“Among the all-rounders, Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan was the leader across all formats with Ashwin-Jadeja (of India) in Tests, Mohammad Hafeez (of Pakistan) in ODIs and Glen Maxwell (of Australia) in T20Is,” the ICC said in a statement.
Maxwell had grabbed top spot in T20 all-rounder rankings from Shakib Al Hasan, who stayed at the top for 310 days before Maxwell dislodged him for 55 days. Bangladesh’s T20 captain is also ranked in 18th, 20th and ninth position as bowler in Tests, ODIs and T20s respectively.
Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal is ranked 20th among Test batsman while Shakib followed him in 21st position. In ODI rankings, Tamim grabbed 16th position among batsmen while Mushfiqur Rahim is on 19.
