Bangladesh’s Mushfiqur Rahim has gained five places in the ICC ODI rankings after the latest ranking updates were carried out on Friday.
The Bangladesh’ Test captain Mushfiq, who is going through a lean period captaining the team in the recently concluded Test-series against South Africa, however, played two good innings in the first two ODIs. His current position is 18th in the latest ICC ODI rankings for batsmen.
While Bangladesh lost both matches, but the diminutive wicket keeper however shine with bat when he struck an unbeaten 110 to helped Bangladesh to score 278. In the second ODI, Mushfiqur struck a responsible 60 before he fell.
Bangladesh’s dashing opener Tamim Iqbal is still on 16th and his position remains unchanged. Pacer Rubel Hossain climbed seven places to 61st position after his four-wicket haul in the second ODI against South Africa.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez edged out all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan from the top spot in the ODI all-rounder rankings.
