Five young mountaineers of Bangladesh is going to climb up to 20,500 feet high Lorca peak, in Nepal’s Manaslu Himalayan region. The climbing group will leave Dhaka for Nepal on 4rd of October under the leadership of 2-time Everest climber Mr. M A Mohit.
Other Five climbers are Nur Mohammad, Bahalul Majnu, Shaila Parvin, Ekkramul Hasan and Riyasad Sanawi. Among them, Mr. Nur Mohammad and Mr. Bahalul Majnu have made five, and Shila and Ikramul climbed one six thousand meters mountain peak. The Bangla Mountaineering and Trekking Club (BMTC) is operating the expedition.
In a press conference, Mr. M A Mohit said, “It will take 21 to 22 days in the main expedition. This is a tough campaign and a challenge for everyone in the team. Those who are on this team are all mentally and physically strong. It is a matter of physical fitness to go to such a drive. The people who are going to the expedition this year, all of them have tried to maintain fitness with regular physical exercises for the last one year.”
Former Advocates of the caretaker government, Hossain Zillur Rahman was invited as an honorable guest in the press conference, He gave good wishes to return to the country after successfully climbing the campaign.
