Renowned Bangladeshi singer Abdul Jabbar’s first album released online

Noted singer and Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendro artiste Abdul Jabbar’s first musical album “Kothai Amar Nil Doria” has been released online.

The album contains nine songs written by Md Amirul Islam and composed by Golam Sarwar as Momo Music Center released the musical album.

The nine songs include “Ami Apan Ghorer Janlam Na Khabor”, “Maa Amar Masjid”, “Ekhane Amar Padma Meghna”, “Premer Bishkanta”, “Noyone Mekhona Kajol”, “Ami Dushkoke Boleshi”.

About the album Jabbar said “It is my first album. I am very happy to make the album. The songs of the album are amazing. It speaks of mother, soil, religion and society”.

He expressed his hope that the album will get popularity among audiences at home and aboard. “True music lovers and new generation artistes can learn a lot from the album,” he observed.

Lyricist Amirul Islam said Abdul Jabbar is a legendary singer. “It is my great attainment that he gave voice to the songs written by me. I am really grateful to honorable Abdul Jabbar,” he said.

Islam said the songs of the album are characterized by overflow of feelings and emotions and hoped that the audience would love the songs.

He also sought doa from all for Jabbar, who has been suffering from kidney, cardiovascular and other ailments.

Earlier, the government announced to bear all treatment cost of the celebrated son of the soil Abdul Jabbar, who played an active role to encourage freedom fighters by singing patriotic songs during the country’s Great War of Independence in 1971.

After the Liberation War, Jabbar donated Taka 12 lakh to the relief fund of newly independent Bangladesh.

He was awarded Bangabandhu Padak (1973), Ekushey Padak (1980), Shadhinota Padak (1996) and earned different national and international awards for his outstanding contributions to the country’s cultural arena.
