A Dhaka court today sent cricketer Arafat Sunny to jail, rejecting his bail plea in the case filed under Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.
“Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Jakir Hossain Tipu passed the order as police produced Sunny before the court after completion of his one-day remand,” a court official said.
Sub-inspector Yahya Ahmed of Mohammadpur Police Station and investigation officer of the case in his report said they have found valuable information from Sunny and he should be sent to jail for the sake of proper investigation.
