The AWD News website reported earlier this week that Israel’s defense minister threatened Pakistan with a nuclear attack if it sent troops into Syria. In response, the Pakistani counterpart said via Twitter that “Pakistan is also a nuclear power.”
In order to avoid misunderstanding between the two countries, the Israeli minister eventually had to clarify that the news of the AWD News was “totally fictitious.”
According to the Associated Press, AWD News has already been identified as being false by information verification organizations.
Pakistan has been considered a nuclear power since 1998, but in the case of Israel there is no confirmation or denial of nuclear weapons.
