Best Western® Hotels & Resorts headquartered in Phoenix, Ariz., is a privately held hotel brand with a global network of 4,100 hotels in more than 100* countries and territories worldwide. Best Western offers seven hotel brands to suit the needs of developers and guests in every market: Best Western®, Best Western Plus®, Best Western Premier®, Executive Residency by Best WesternSM, Vīb®, BW Premier Collection® and GLōSM.
Best Western® Hotels & Resorts has reached a major milestone in its Asian development, with the signing of the region’s first ever GLō hotel.
Introduced in 2015, the GLō hotel concept combines bright, eye-catching exterior façades with contemporary, guest-friendly interiors. And the brand will make its Asian debut in the up-and-coming area of Na Jomtien, just a few minutes’ drive from the popular Thai beach resort of Pattaya.
The new GLō Na Jomtien is being developed by Habitat Group Co., Ltd, with construction work due to commence in September 2017. The new-build hotel is expected to welcome its first guests in 2019.
This marks the second partnership between Best Western Hotels & Resorts and Habitat Group; earlier this year the two companies announced plans for the Best Western Premier Bayphere Pattaya – a new upscale hotel, in Pattaya.
“We are delighted to be partnering the Habitat Group once again for another exciting project,” said Olivier Berrivin, Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ Managing Director of International Operations – Asia. “And the fact that this marks our first GLō hotel in Asia makes this occasion all the more momentous.”
“Along with its sister brand Vīb® , GLō represents a new era for Best Western Hotels & Resorts in Asia. Modern, stylish and packed with state-of-the-art technology, GLō hotels will become a favorite among the millenial market. And with their bright, LED-lit facades, they are sure to become well-known fixtures within their destinations.”
“In partnership with the Habitat Group, I am confident that GLō Na Jomtien will become an instant success. We hope that this development will pave the way for multiple new GLō hotels to rise across the region in future,” Mr. Berrivin concluded.
The newest brand from Best Western Hotels & Resorts, GLō is a dynamic concept that looks set to shake up the midscale sector. Designed specifically for new-build hotels, the concept is easily recognizable by its striking exterior design, which features LED lights to make hotels highly visible from the road. Once inside, guests will benefit from streamlined services and seamless connectivity, such as fast, free Wi-Fi and plenty of international power outlets.
The traditional hotel lobby will be transformed into an informal yet highly functional space where guests can work, dine and socialize, and every GLō hotel will feature a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Guests at GLō Na Jomtien will be able to access multiple local attractions in the Pattaya-Jomtien area, including the Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark, Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden, Pattaya Floating Market, Mimosa Pattaya and Buddha Mountain.
Founded in 2012, Habitat Group is rapidly becoming one of Thailand’s leading property developers in the mid- to high-end market. Its main point of differentiation is that it seeks to develop projects with a unique character, in terms of innovative design and superb functionality. GLō Na Jomtien fits this vision perfectly.
