Tribute to Langaliki

News Hour:

Langaliki, the Aboriginal artist who designed our highly successful limited edition Specsavers frames sadly passed away recently in Alice Springs.

The artist had a special relationship with the Foundation. In March 2014, she created the first limited edition frame based on her artwork ‘Nyinnga. In October 2015, a second limited edition frame was created based on her artwork ‘Ngayuku Nguara.’ Christine Anu was the Specsavers Ambassador for this second edition.

Tribute speeches at her memorial service in Pukatja recognised her work and the limited edition frames were noted and praised on by fellow Ernabella artists, family and community leaders.

Langaliki was an inspiration: a talented and generous woman who was loved by many. We will miss this dear and important friend of The Foundation.
