Georgia was encouraged today by Foreign Affairs Advisor Md. Touhid Hossain to increase the number of Bangladeshi students enrolled in the country’s universities in the east European region.
When the Georgian ambassador to Bangladesh, who is stationed in New Delhi, paid him his first courtesy call at his office here, the adviser made the request, according to a news release from the foreign ministry.
It stated that the adviser and the ambassador agreed during their conversation that it is critical to further fortify the connection between Georgia and Bangladesh, which is based on mutual understanding, shared values, and principles.
They expressed their commitment to enhancing bilateral ties across various areas of shared interest.
Hossain highlighted the need to focus more on bilateral trade, investment, and economic collaboration.
The envoy said he wanted to improve the two countries’ cultural relations, especially by getting more involved in media and movies.
Additionally, he asked Bangladesh to back Georgia’s efforts in the UN and other multilateral organizations.
According to the press release, the next bilateral consultation will be held shortly.
