Today, 200 impoverished youngsters at Saint Martin Island in the Cox’s Bazar district received free medical care and medications from the Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG).
The maritime law enforcement agency established a makeshift medical camp on the Mansul Ali Ship at the Island, which is located in the northeastern region of the Bay of Bengal, around 9 kilometres south of the Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf point, in order to administer the treatment.
From 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. today, 200 impoverished children received free medical care and medication from the Coast Guard’s doctors and medical assistants, according to Lieutenant Commander Khandaker Munif Taqi, the force’s media officer.
