Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited receives ICMAB Best Corporate Award for the ninth time

Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited (BPBL) has won the ICMAB Best Corporate Award for the nineth time. The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) has honored BPBL with ICMAB Best Corporate Award 2021 under Multinational Manufacturing category. The award ceremony was held at Hotel InterContinental, Dhaka recently.

This prestigious award was handed over to Sazzad Rahim Chowdhury, FCA, Group CFO and Director, Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, by Tipu Munshi, MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, who graced the event as the chief guest. High officials of Berger were also present at the ceremony. Md. Jashim Uddin, President, FBCCI and Professor Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, Chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), attended the event as special guests.

ICMAB began distributing Best Corporate Awards to corporate institutions in Bangladesh in 2007 for remarkable performances and to promote transparency, accountability, and good governance. They believe that such recognition can help maintain healthy competition among corporate houses to consistently maintain sustainable improvements, ensuring better quality products and services to customers. Best Corporate Awards are distributed according to a range of qualitative and quantitative criteria in tandem with the guidelines of SAFA, CAPA, IFAC, and internationally accepted principles for judging the economical, effective, and efficient operation of the corporate houses/ institutions.

Berger previously received the ICMAB award in 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2015, 2013, 2012 and 2010 owing to its financial strength, quality of the annual report, corporate governance, HR Management, and CSR initiatives.
