Grameenphone has appointed Kazi Mahboob Hassan as Chief Business Officer, effective from 2 July 2020.
Kazi has been serving as Head of Strategic & Large Accounts since 1 January 2020. He started his career in GP as Chief Specialist-Strategy on 1 February 2016 and took the challenge of Head of Transformation as a part of GPMT. Later he served as Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer from 1 April 2018 to 31 December 2019.
Kazi immensely contributed to developing GP’s strategy that helped the company taking the correct direction and interact the workforce towards the line of sight. He has also been instrumental in leading transformation within the company. Later he decided to expand his career within the revenue-generating stream and took a new challenge within the Business Division.

Before joining Grameenphone in 2016, Kazi used to work as a Senior Management Consultant at Deloitte UK, where he was responsible for leading business transformation programs for clients across various sectors, including Telecom, Oil & Gas, Consumer Business, and Financial Services. Kazi has also held senior positions in Finance and Marketing with IBM UK and BAT Bangladesh. He has a BBA from the University of Dhaka (IBA) and an MBA degree from the University of Oxford. he’s also a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) with professional accountancy body ACCA, UK.
