Bangladesh and Ethiopia discuss signing MoU on enhancing aviation operation 

Today, Ethiopia and Bangladesh talked about the potential for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support frequent audits, inspections, and training initiatives targeted at raising operating standards in the aviation industry.

The conversation took place at the CAAB headquarters here when Gatachew Mengistie Alemayehu, the visiting Director General of the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority, met with Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, the Chairman of the Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority (CAAB).

According to a press release here, the courtesy meeting’s main goals were to strengthen cooperation and look into fresh development prospects for both nations’ civil aviation industries.

The two officials indicated during their talks that they were both interested in putting into practice practical steps to promote civil aviation and associated industries.

Increasing flying frequencies, seeking academic collaborations, and exchanging qualified auditors were among the main areas of emphasis.

Both parties were hopeful that this meeting will improve Ethiopia-Bangladesh aviation ties and open the door to more collaboration.

The meeting was attended by Shohag Hossain, Managing Director of Rhythm Group; Solomon Bekele, Regional Director of Ethiopian Airlines; Yohannes Bekele, Area Manager of Ethiopian Airlines; and additional representatives from the Bangladeshi and Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authorities.
