Tickets for Oasis reunion tour to go on general sale

As fans race to see the British icons live for the first time since 2009, tickets for the reunion tour of Oasis the next year are expected to sell out in a matter of minutes after going on sale early on Saturday.

General sales of the highly sought-after tickets for 15 UK shows in July and August of next year, which are expected to be the first leg of a global tour, begin at 9:00 am (0800 GMT).

An hour early, general sales for two mid-August concerts in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, will also begin.

After winning their spot in a ballot that was significantly oversubscribed, a select few fortunate fans were able to purchase a limited quantity of tickets for some of the shows in a Friday night pre-sale.

The scramble for tickets follows the announcement Tuesday that brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher had ended their infamous 15-year feud and were reuniting the 1990s-founded band for the tour.

The group behind hit songs including “Wonderwall”, “Don’t Look Back In Anger” and “Champagne Supernova” will stage 17 gigs in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.

Concerts on “continents outside of Europe later next year” were also promised in the much awaited Tuesday official release.

The starting price for tickets to their UK events is approximately o75 ($98), with standing on the field in front of the stage costing approximately o150.

Buyers will have to fork up more than o500 for the most expensive seats at London’s Wembley stadium, which include extras like a pre-show party.
