Polls open for South Korea’s general election: AFP

Voters in South Korea began their ballots on Wednesday for the crucial legislative elections that will decide who controls the legislature and if President Yoon Suk Yeol can continue advancing his socially conservative agenda.
In order to select the nation’s new 300-seat parliament, voters who had been waiting outside were admitted to a polling station in Seoul’s Gwangjin district at 6:00 am, as witnessed by AFP reporters. Voters then placed their ballots in a box in front of an official who was monitoring.
